How Long Does It Take To Make Meatsa Biltong?

Learn About Our Delicious Snacks

When you’re looking for a snack filled with protein, you can count on Meatsa’s biltong to satiate your hunger. We never rush our process, and we like to take it nice and slow so that you get the best tasting snack each and every time. How slow do we go? Our meats are cured and dried for at least 10 days! Cure It

The first step in making Meatsa is to cure the meat. This is done with a variety of different spices and flavorings in order to give you a fantastic snack for at home or on-the-go. Some of the flavors that we use to cure our meat include:

  • Original
  • Spicy
  • Hickory smoked
  • And more!

Air Dry

After we’ve added the flavoring, we let our meat air dry for about 10 days. This allows the meat to taste fresher and gives it a softer texture. We’ve all bitten into beef jerky before and felt like we were chewing a piece of leather — but not with air-dried biltong!

Slice & Serve

The final step in the process is to carefully slice the meat into thick strips and package it to be sent directly to you! We want all of our slices of meat to be evenly seasoned and ready for snacking. We don’t want you to have to constantly dig out the crumbs, so we always try to provide great slices of biltong for you and your friends to enjoy.

The Meatsa Biltong Difference

Biltong from Meatsa isn’t just your ordinary meat snack. It’s softer, made with leaner cuts of meat, and higher in protein than standard beef jerky or other meats. Shop today with Meatsa to get your own taste of our fantastic biltong!
